- Arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder
- All shoulder conditions including rotator cuff, instability, sports injuries and arthritis
- Elbow conditions including tennis/golfers elbow and nerve compression
- Hand conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome
Medical and Surgical Training
Dai grew up in Neath and qualified from Cardiff’s University of Wales College of Medicine in 1997. His basic surgical training was in South Wales, his higher surgical and speciality training was at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire’s renowned orthopaedic department.
On return from Fellowship he was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery at the Royal Glamorgan University Hospital.
Additional Qualifications
In addition to his surgical training he also attained a MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering.
Specialist Training
In 2009-10 he furthered his speciality training with a year-long Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery Fellowship in Adelaide, Australia.
Current Duties
Dai is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery, he works at Spire Hospital Cardiff and at the Royal Glamorgan University Hospital.
He has a role as an Expert Witness for medico-legal cases with clinics for consultations at Spire Hospital Cardiff and Sands Private Health Clinic.
